The first game of the tour ended in defeat. Weather wise it was a contrast between each end. Nearest the sea, a chilly wind blew, but against the rugby Club wall it was warm and sheltered. John Davies and his team picked up the winning rink money and Darrell Johnston and his team picked up the donkey

It was an evening of hand chilling cold weather. A "Kick the woods away before the chance to measure"
caused controversy on rink 1 in addition to the weird and wonderful lines that rink 1 is famous for.
But we did have a winning rink with Captain Phil Villis and his team storming home to a fine win.

A fine win against our neighbours with Banwell winning on 4 of the 5 rinks. Two rinks qualified for the winning rink money and could not be seperated even on the count back, so the money was donated to club funds..

A pleasantly warm afternoon, and a fiercely contested match which ended in an honourable draw.
Highlight of the match was the remarkable come back by Hilary Guckian and his rink who picked up 15 shots on the last 4 ends to force a draw. Barry Taylor and his rink achieved a fine win to take the winning rink money.
A good start to the season.
