A hugely enjoyable game against a good bunch of players from Nottingham
The weather stayed kind and Banwell enjoyed a good win
John Davies and his rink romped away with the winning rink money
which they then donated to the tourist's charity

Remember those hot sunny days, when the green was quick?
Well not today, it just chucked it down - net result - woods slipped out of hands and aquaplaned
their way up the green. So much so that with rain water trickling down the back of our necks
we called it a day after 8 ends. Some may say 'Just as well' as we were down on all rinks !!

A pretty comprehensive win on all four rinks.
Apparently it rained everywhere else
but not at Victoria.
A remarkable turn around by Hilary Guckian and his rink
who were 5 shots adrift with three ends to go
and then picked up 7 shots on those remaining three ends
Alan Vickery and his rink had a good win to pick up the winning rink money

Always a friendly and good natured game to play.
The sun was beating down and the afternoon was hot.
Liquid refershment were much in evidence.
Played over 18 ends, Banwell won three of the four rinks
But this was not enough and we went down by 4 shots
John Amos skipped his rink to the winning rink money

An interesting game where we won on two rinks, lost on two rinks and drew on the other.
Mike Davies and his rink came from 8-13 down with 5 ends to go to take the winning
rink money. But overall St.Andrews were the stronger team on the evening

This game started out as a 4 rink match, but ended up as a 3 rink match.
Played under a scorching sun, it was decided to restrict the match to 18 ends.
A fine win for Banwell, with a good sprinkling of new players taking part

A Blistering hot afternoon, with Banwell members turning up late owing to the total grid lock
of traffic around the Weston area. A decision was made to play only 15 ends.
Banwell won on 3 of the 4 rinks - a good result with many new members taking part.
Mike Amos and his rink picked up a 4 on the last end to take the winning rink money

A scorching day, a green that was very fast and played well and a most enjoyable afternoon
And the outcome of the match? Well Port of Bristol were just too strong on the day and they took 3 of the 4 rinks.
The money went to our one winning rink which was skipped by J.Davies

I suppose you could argue that this win was 95% due to the presidents rink.
We won on two rinks and lost on 3 but Rink 1 skipped by Barry Taylor not only took the money
but also had a big hand in settling the outcome of the match

It is never easy playing at Wrington on their artificial green and so it proved once again.

and his rink were taken apart by an on form Tom Ellis, dropping 14 shots on 4 consecutive ends
