was undecided as the countback was a tie.

Sorry but I have no details of this match as the Captain of the day wandered off with the cards.
All I can tell you is that it was a pretty miserable day weather wise - we played 10 ends before
being forced into the bar and I did hear that Eastover beat us by one shot. End of story

Not the best of results, losing on 3 rinks and only winning the one. However it was the scale of defeat that stands out.
Disaster, Catastrophe, fiasco. Call it what you like, it certainly was for one particular rink, where nothing went right on the night.
However looking on the bright side we did have one winning rink, with Mike Amos skipping his rink to take the money

I'm told this was a well contested game, but Banwell came second at the end.
Harry Woodards and his rink took the winning rink money, and also picked up a 7 on the 16th end.
If you are wondering why there are strange names on all four rinks, it is because we could only
raise 12 men to play in this match. Knowle were good enough to lend us 4 from their club

Well not the best of starts Chaps! It can only get better.
We were completely overwhelmed by a stronger Congresbury side.
On the plus side, the weather was warm and sunny and the green played well.
Banwell went down on all 4 rinks, but MIke Davies and his rink took the 'Winning Rink' money
as they went down less heavily than the other three

Result: Banwell 46 shots - Congresbury 91 shots
