It is never easy playing at Wrington on their artificial green and so it proved once again.
Kim Burgess and his rink took the money, by virtue of being the lowest losing rink.

Scheduled as a 4 rink match, it eventually became a 3 rink match as Willmott Park
could only muster 12 players. But it was still a good game played in the warm sunny
weather that is currently sitting over the British Isles.
We won on two of the three rinks with Lee Pheasant and his rink taking the money

A very close game with Banwell winning on three rinks.
But it was Harry Woodards and his rink that stood out as
they took the winning rink money

They say that outdoor bowls is a summer game, well you could have fooled me.
The game was played in the teeth of a bitterly cold wind.
Hilary Guckian skipped his rink to a fine win to take the money

It was a drab rainy night and the light soon faded, so time was called after 15 ends.
But overall, a good win with Kim Burgess and his rink taking the winning rink money

A warm and sunny afternoon, but in a game of up and down swings
we were beaten by a better Winscombe side on the day despite winning on 3 of the 5 rinks
John Davies and his rink took the money, while at the other end of the green Alan Vickery
and his rink were taken apart by an on form Tom Ellis, dropping 14 shots on 4 consecutive ends

A good start to the season. A few spots of rain and a chilly wind did not the spoil the evening.
