A nice warm evening, with the light fading fast towards the end.
However rink 1 were not bothered by this lack of light as they were
next to the tennis courts and were bathed in light from the floodlights
A good win, winning on 4 of the 6 rinks, with Harry Woodards and
his rink taking the winning rink money

A little mix up before the match on the number of rinks.
It turns out that their Captain of the day was not informed of the change
However putting that behind us, the thin red line of Banwell
went on to win 2 out of the 3 rinks to take the game.
The unflappable figure of Graham Millard skipped his rink to win the money.

Result: Banwell 50 shots - Yatton 36 shots

A hot Easter Saturday, the warmest on record so I am told.
We had a good win with wins on 4 rinks and a draw on the other.
Phil Villis and his rink won the money with a spectacular turn around
from 10 - 3 down on the 9th end to score 27 shots on the remaining 12 ends

The rain had stopped and the afternoon was pleasant. As usual the start of the season green was a little heavy and taking very little green. The game was pretty even throughout, and then out of the blue, Alan Vickery and his rink dropped a '6' on the last end. But we did have two winning rinks with the winning rink money being taken by Barry Taylor and his rink

Result: Banwell 71 shots - Congresbury 79 shots
